Information Architect and Documentation Technician for Hamburg (f/m/d)

We’re looking for people like you: documentation technology and information architecture specialists who enjoy advising customers.

Two hearts beating in your chest? You don’t just like working in-depth on information structures and technical topics, but also enjoy communicating these topics to other people in an advisory capacity? Are you proficient in all common technical documentation technologies and languages like XSL and Python? Then this job’s just the ticket for you!

We’re looking for information architecture professionals who combine technical know-how with consulting skills and organisational strength. When you work with us, you can apply your qualifications to exciting customer projects. With one clear goal: to actively support our customers in introducing modular documentation, docs-as-code, intelligent information, and editorial systems. You’ll work within self-directing teams in a trusting and appreciative working atmosphere.

Your tasks

Set up projects. You set the parameters and direction for every customer project, as you’ll be analyzing the documentation processes and planning and implementing the requirements workshops.

Design projects. As soon as the basics have been clarified, it’s time for the concept: together with the customers, you’ll develop the appropriate information architecture, the associated processes, and identify the appropriate technical solution.

Oversee projects. The concept is in place, the solutions and tools have been selected. Now you’ll need to oversee the team during the technical implementation and always support them with your knowledge.

Your profile

Markdown, DITA, build scripts, and transformations. You have in-depth knowledge of XML-based documentation, automated publishing, and docs-as-code. You also have a sound insight into content delivery systems. You’re familiar with one, two, or even three editorial systems (IXIASOFT, Docufy, and Schema ST4) or wikis (Confluence, and Semantic MediaWiki).

You always have your finger on the pulse of technical documentation. You have a comprehensive overview of current technologies and their potential applications. This will enable you to advise our customers independently about manufacturers and products and to design individual customer projects.

You’re curious about new things. Whether it’s in a small company or an international group: you enjoy working on a range of very different projects. Customer processes are always individual – and you’re motivated to find unique solutions

You like actively working in a team. Our customers want to be advised: that’s why you can take the reins and involve all team members. After all, customer projects are only a success when everyone pulls together. And it’s how we develop together as a team.

We offer

  • No jumping in at the deep end. We’ll actively train you in your tasks, and you’ll get support from a mentor for at least six months.
  • Diversity is the key. Your projects are as diverse as our customers. They range from software documentation to agile project management, and from content strategy consulting to building content delivery portals. Sometimes involving travel, including abroad.
  • An environment that’s good for your well-being. Thanks to state-of-the-art computers, smartphones and software, you’ll always have the latest technology when you work with us. Ergonomic workplaces and a relaxed working atmosphere will ensure the well-being of your body and mind.
  • Ever onwards. Together we analyze your potential and train you individually. You’re always working on new tasks in changing, interdisciplinary project teams that manage themselves and take decisions together. That’s because we work based on trust not controls, where managers are advisors to the teams, not bosses.

Benefits in addition to salary

  • Flexible working and rest times
  • Family-friendly working environment
  • Option to work from home, including an allowance for internet costs
  • Comprehensive company pension scheme
  • Occupational health management
  • Childcare costs paid
  • Bike lease scheme (Job-Rad)
  • Good transport connections and employee parking

Does all this get your heart racing? Then let’s get to know each other! So why wait, apply for a job with us! We look forward to hearing from you at jobs@parson-europe.com.
