From printed volumes to a digital edition. parson supports the digitization of the Rhineland-Palatinate ministerial council minutes
The minutes from the post-war period are among the most important historical sources for the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Until recently, they were only available as printed volumes. Since 2022, the State Archives Administration has been working to make these documents accessible to researchers and the public for the first time as a modern online edition.
parson has been supporting the project's transition from print to web by helping prepare the historical minutes for digital access. Soon, the documents will be readable and searchable online, enriched with registers, annotations, and contextual information. The result is a digital archive that significantly improves access to a key part of the state's history.
