New standard for automotive materials from ASAM e.V.: parson supports with technical writing and automated publication
parson once again supported the standardization organization ASAM e.V. in developing and publishing a technical standard – this time ASAM OpenMATERIAL® 3D.
The standard aims to provide a uniform description of material properties for simulating physical objects, which is a key requirement for realistic driving simulations and the faster development of new vehicles and materials.
parson was responsible for the standard’s editorial implementation, including structuring and harmonizing the content, creating visualizations, and maintaining an automated publication pipeline using Antora.
The standard was successfully published in April 2025. Tool manufacturers have already begun implementation, and version 2.0 is in preparation.
