Sneak preview: parson at tcworld conference 2026
How can technical information become a reliable foundation for AI, self-service, and digital business processes? What role do information architectures, metadata, and open standards play? These questions are at the heart of parson AG's presentations at the tcworld conference 2026.
From November 10 - 12, the international technical communication community will gather in Stuttgart. Together with our customers and partners, we will present practical case studies demonstrating how organizations can strategically evolve their content and prepare it for future requirements. Our sessions (all in German):
Small bites or the full menu: finding the right information architecture
(Kleine Häppchen oder das komplette Menü – Auf der Suche nach einer passenden Informationsarchitektur)
Marc Kögel (SEW-EURODRIVE) and Mette Lilienthal (parson)
November 10, 2026, 10:00 a.m. | Use case
Based on a joint customer project, SEW-EURODRIVE and parson demonstrate how a scalable information architecture for complex product portfolios can be developed through a structured analysis. The session focuses on requirements analysis, content strategy, and the practical implementation of a future-ready information architecture. Learn more
Tickets and topics: bringing service information and technical documentation together
(Von Tickets und Topics: Wie man Serviceinformationen mit Technischer Dokumentation verheiratet)
Alexandra Steck (Endress+Hauser) and Ulrike Parson (parson)
November 10, 2026, 3:00 p.m. | Technical presentation
How can organizations make practical service knowledge available alongside technical documentation? Based on Alexandra Steck's master's thesis, this session shows how metadata can be used to integrate knowledge from resolved support cases into a modern information ecosystem. It explains why service knowledge complements technical documentation, how metadata schemas such as iiRDS enable intelligent information delivery, and how organizations can meet growing user expectations as well as new regulatory requirements such as the Right to Repair. Demolition or a fresh coat of paint? Our blueprint for a centralized help and learning hub
(Abrissbirne oder neuer Anstrich? Unser Bauplan für eine zentrale Hilfe- und Lernwelt)
Katharina Boehm (SEEBURGER) and Ulrike Parson (parson)
November 11, 2026, 2:00 p.m. | Use case
When the knowledge house starts to creak, a fresh coat of paint is no longer enough. Data silos, fragmented content, inconsistent formats, and unclear ownership make self-service difficult for both employees and customers. Starting with its technical documentation, SEEBURGER developed a transformation strategy to create a centralized help and learning hub.
In this session, we share our blueprint: what an external assessment revealed, the first implementation steps—including governance, structure, and tooling—and the next stages of the transformation. We also show how to support employees throughout the change process so that new ways of working become part of everyday practice. Learn more
The role of ontologies and exchange formats in the digital transformation of standards
(Rolle von Ontologien und gängigen Austauschformaten für die digitale Transformation von Standards)
Andreas Wernicke (DIN Solutions) and Ulrike Parson (parson)
November 12, 2026, 10:00 a.m. | Technical presentation
The digital transformation of standards is fundamentally changing how organizations work with standards. Instead of static documents, digital services and structured data formats are becoming the focus. This session explores which formats and AI approaches are best suited for use cases such as requirements management, machinery safety, and risk assessment, what is already practical today, and what developments can be expected in the coming years. It also examines the challenges of implementing technical and regulatory standards and discusses practical approaches to addressing them. Learn more
Digital product passport and digital transformation: requirements and integration strategies
(Digitaler ProduktpassDigitaler Produktpass und Digitalisierung: Anforderungen und Verknüpfungsstrategien)
Roland Schmeling (Schmeling Consultants) and Ulrike Parson (parson)
November 12, 2026, 2:00 p.m. | Technical presentation
The Digital Product Passport (DPP) will become mandatory for an increasing number of product groups over the coming years and is closely linked to digital transformation and new digital business models. In this session, we explain the background and regulatory requirements of the DPP, outline the expected implementation timeline, and present strategies for early preparation. We also discuss the role of technical communication in successfully implementing the Digital Product Passport. Learn more
