Dear readers,
This summer has certainly had its share of weather extremes. We hope you’ve still found some time to switch off and recharge. In technical communication, however, there’s been little sign of a summer break – a lot is happening right now.
New EU regulations such as the Digital Product Passport require new ways of delivering documentation and product information to consumers and economic operators. At the same time, technical content is increasingly being processed by AI systems and therefore needs to be structured, contextualized, and machine-readable.
These developments are bringing technical documentation and product information closer together.
They are also creating a stronger connection between content management and content delivery: Simply creating and managing information is no longer enough. Content needs to be prepared so that people and machines can access exactly the information they need – tailored to the product, situation, and task.
