I love developer documentation. I find it fascinating when a developer explains something that I do not understand immediately and that I need to research first. Diving into a complex topic and then describing it for users in an easy-to-understand way – I think that is really awesome.

Technical communicators translate complex technical product or service information into understandable and accessible user information. They act as mediators between product developers and users. Auntie Else’s conclusion was not that far-fetched, after all. We are translators.
