parson AG. This is who we are.

We are a team of sixteen technical writers with diverse experience and expertise: technical documentation, training, project management, computer science, international communication, and media design. We regularly invest in training and conferences to extend our knowledge. We manage all projects as a team to ensure continuous quality assurance and flexibility of resources. Our administrative colleagues support us by providing smooth internal processes. External freelance writers supplement our project teams, when required.

We see technical communication as an interdisciplinary field that combines aspects from software documentation, usability engineering, project management, technical writing, terminology, and training. Good software has a user-friendly interface and comes with documentation that is user-focused and task-oriented. As technical communicators, we bring knowledge from all of these fields to our projects.

parson AG (previously parson communication) started business in 2006 and is located in the (probably) most beautiful German city: Hamburg. The company was founded by Ulrike Parson, who has been in the documentation and localization industry since 1993. She started her professional career as a translation manager, but soon detected her passion for technical writing. Between 1995 and 2006, she worked as a technical writer for several software companies and managed various documentation teams.

In 2013, parson AG opened a branch office in Berlin. Head of the Berlin office is Marion Knebel, Senior Technical Communicator at parson AG.

The company has been growing steadily since 2006, working for IT companies not only in Northern Germany, but in several European countries. We have extended our service portfolio continually to offer our customers integrated services around technical communication.

On October 17, 2013, parson communication became parson AG. parson is now operating as a German joint stock company (Aktiengesellschaft, AG). Chairman of the board of parson AG is Ulrike Parson. Press release.

FamiliensiegelOn March 6, 2014, parson AG received the Hamburg family award. The award confirms that parson AG provides a family-friendly work environment. Press release.
